Special Session on PHM for Maritime Safety

We invite submissions for a Special Session on Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) in the Maritime Industry at the PHM Conference in Oslo, 2026. Modern vessels face growing demands for safety, reliability, and cost efficiency under increasingly complex operating conditions. PHM offers predictive insights that improve safety, optimize performance, and reduce maintenance costs by preventing failures before they occur.

We welcome papers on:

  • PHM frameworks for maritime systems
  • Predictive maintenance and lifecycle cost reduction
  • Performance optimization through health monitoring
  • Integration with digital twins and AI-driven models
  • Case studies and regulatory considerations
  • PHM for maritime safety.

Join us to advance PHM research and practice for safer, smarter, and more cost-effective maritime operations.

Session Organizer:
Knut Erik Knutsen, Team Leader Data Driven Services, Maritime Research Programme, DNV

Submissions for this special session is accepted until 1st February.
